Muntjac deer come from China mainly although they are found in other areas. They are also known as the "barking deer" due to the noise they make when they are scared. Ting Li is a couple weeks old in this photo. She will only be about 2-3 feet tall when full grown. Ting is a Reeves Muntjac. There are several different kinds of muntjac but the Reeves are the main ones that are now being raised in the US.
